Peek-a-Boob

Macy's dressing room was under construction, so I was directed to the children's section to try on undergarments. It was my time to make my yearly purchase of a few bras to last me through the next 12 months. Sometimes i become uncomfortable with the ritual of trying on so many and the sighs that go with it. This year was no different. I now wear a D cup, up from last year... One thing about bras is that as you wear for several months, they stretch and conform to your body in a way that you don't really know that its happening so you dont know that you are gaining weight or getting bigger. Ugh... I am grateful it is over and I bought 2 very flattering Maidenform bras.

I was just wondering why the larger the bra the less sexy they are & the less colorful???

Just around the corner... vacation!

Today i am so happy!! Our 25th anniversary vacation arrangements have been made~ We will be traveling to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic/Caribbean Islands. Yes! Finally all the back and forth of what to do on my part has taken a toll on me.
I am honored that Mike and I will be celebrating this milestone anniversary together. Our life has been very hectic as of late with our oldest sons graduation party last week, summer in full swing, buying a boat and working on many projects. Were we meant to go through large amounts of chaos to finally get to the tranquility of a vacation?? Only God knows. He sure has been putting us through the ringer at times and i keep the faith that this is what i am meant to do in this lifetime.

Hello all!! In less than 1 month this little petunia will be turning 49 years old. Sometimes it feels like yesterday that i was just a love joy teenager ready to take the world on. The I met the man of my dreams and we started our life together, in love and ready to truly live life and live life truly... together, forever...
Our adventures together are filled with the closeness and love for each other. In July we will celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary by taking a Mexican vacation. Passports in hand, we will disconnect and reconnect on a luxurious beach with crystal clear water. Yum! I cant wait!

I know that God has a plan for my life. At this moment in time I am being tested on how I push myself to do more. Meaning I am IN training for something more. Fine by me....
I believe that we are all on Earth to learn a certain task/aspect or the sort. God has a plan for each and every one of us.We must master the task at hand before we move onto the next step. I believe that I have been here on earth several times in many different lives. Could be I didn't master a task and I was sent back here to complete it. I feel it... Hard to explain~
Several years ago I read a book called "Many Masters, Many Lives" ... It has changed the way I think of my life or lives and living. It makes sence. I'm here to pull it all together. I need to not overcommit. To be more accepting and less demanding of myself and others.
To be here and now. "The Power of Now" - another great read.
I need to speak my mind, even if my voice shakes.
Perhaps luck exists somewhere between the world of planning, chance and the place that comes from me knowing that you cant know it all. Life's funny that way- when you let go of the wheel you might end up right where you belong.

My new Business

I am working on my Silpada Designs business. Getting organized takes time but I am almost there. My first show is this weekend and I am very excited. I know everyone will have a great time and Anna will get some jewelry she likes for free. All the better. I am committed to working my business to grow in the near future. Love that Silver! It's been a long time commin'

Merry Christmas everyone!

Yesterday was Christmas Day! We made a turkey dinner and all the dressings. It was very tasty.
Mike helped get the fixin's together and our family ate together. Very Nice indeed!
Note to self: next year I will NOT put MY family through going to my brothers and all the family idiocincrisities that that go along with it. Too much-
We watched Pirates of the Caribbean last night. It was the third movie called The World's End- pretty intense and hard to follow if you ask me-

Christmas was good!! Only one mishap- misplacing 3 of Justin's Christmas gifts. Lost a hat, t-shirt and biking gloves. I am positive I received them all in the same box, decided to wrap them, alone in my bedroom, when low and behold, Justin appears in my bedroom window (on the second floor roof) and peaks in to see what I am wrapping. This scared the shit out of me since the roof was icy and it was snowy outside. So of course I yelled at him and told him to never do that again. I put the gifts away and now they are mysteriously gone-
So.. Christmas morning we are opening gifts and the packing slip was in the hoodie wrapped box and the three gifts have gone missing. I have looked and now I need to let it go so it can come to me where i put them. This will happen as i relax about the whole situation.


Today is Dad's 82nd Birthday. We are going there in a little while to celebrate.

Report Cards

Report cards came out and yippie kai-yeaa ki-ooooo. They are good, good, good!!!
The best they have been in a long time. Lots to celebrate as my three boys are doing well and we are loving it.

It is quite cold out today, snow, rain, sleet and whatever else wants to come is coming down. The weather is not that bad for this time of the year. It is by the way November 15th and it has been quite pleasant this fall..

Margie and I had our Silpada Jewelry party last night. 16 friends showed up and we had a great time. The Silpada lady is trying to get us to sell the stuff and I am not sure how I feel about it at the moment. Margie and I would like to go to a meeting which will be on 12th of December to see what it all entails. It was nice both of my sister in laws came as well as many of my friends. Wonderful night! Plus we both get some free jewelry!! Yea!

Trick or Treat is not what it used to be

Last night was Halloween in my neighborhood. I walked around with my friend Renee and shadowed our sons while they ran around the neighborhoods collecting candy. They both dressed up as Football players. Both played Football this year for the local teams.

Halloween is not what it used to be. Several years we had over 100 ghosts and goblins trick-or-treating at our door. Last night was very different. There was only about 25 kids in the two hours it was offered. When I was a kid we would go out from dark till after 10pm. The bustle of activity was unbelievable. There were kids and waiting parents on every street. Fun! I'd like to remember Trick-or-treating as it was when I was a kid.

A small bunny in dire need of me

A few weeks ago our cat Autumn caught a small bunny and was playing with it. I thought it was stunned or in shock since it was shaking some. I picked it up hoping that I would be able to nurse it back to health and release it in a few days. It stayed in a cage with water and I gave her a little carrot. That night I watched tv and held her all the while petting her to see if she would respond. A few times she became more lively and I thought she was doing better. It made me happy. I prayed that she would make it since it was just little. I guess it was too much for her since she was still in the morning. I was sad and berried her next to our hampster in the side yard.

6th degree of separation

I went to my nieces graduation party and discovered that I was a room mom with my sisters neighbor. They live in the next town and she is the grandmother of a girl in my son Jonathans class. Wild!!

Went to a Jimmy Buffet concert at the Miami Marine Stadium in Miami Florida several years ago and my husband and I were watching the concert. We were about half way up in the seats and looked down and said to each other, "Doesnt that look like Jim and Dee down there?" Jim and Dee were friends of ours when we lived in Ohio. They moved to Fort Lauderdale and we moved to Boynton Beach several years later. We did not keep in touch with them and was glad to see them again after all these years. After the concert we ended up staying in touch and going out partying with them. Fun stuff?

A friend of mine, Freida is friends with Mariette. Mariette just happens to be my friend Judy's siter in law. Small world.

feeling

what am i feeling... right now i am feeling ok, just ok, the sun is shining and i am typing in my blog for the first time in 2 months. i cut the rest of the grass this morning, went to the eye doctor and got my contacts checked and eyes dialated. that was not fun. if you have never gotten your eyes dialated~ when you see the light its painful. i do not want to do that again. eyes are ok, just checking because dad had macular degeneration and mom had cataracts. i am ok now.

wondering if i should go to the meeting tomorrow. i will feel uncomfortable.
wondering if i will be uncomfortable at the party this weekend. i am so glad that mike and jeff are still ok. A and i are still on the outskirts of friendship. it is not what i want, i want it back like it used to be and i dont know how to fix it. am i being ridiculous for not trying to make it work or selfish that i dont want to put in the effort?? dont know... i guess i will be myself and see what happens. i am a caring person that does not like conflict. conflict bothers me and makes my skin crawl. i will just be myself and meditate on it....

"Sparky"

David came in to me today and said he thought Sparky was dead. He is David's hampster that he has just had for a few months. It was a 1 year Anniversary present from his girlfriend Antonietta. We dont understand what happened. Sparky was active and cheerful. Just Friday he was in the den chewing on the sides of his cage and making noise like always. He seemed happy and healthy. I feel sad because Sparky made me realize that I shouldnt judge something/someone until I give them a chance. I realized that Sparky and our other 3 cats COULD get along, even when i didnt think it was good to have 3 cats and a hampster all under one roof. Only once did Sparkys cage fall to the floor (during the first few days) because one of the cats had pushed it off of Davids desk. He was very entertaining as he ran around on his ball on the floor. Mike and I would chuckle as we watched him...
Just last week Sparky was in his exercise ball and rolling around Davids bedroom floor. It got trapped in between the wall and clothes on the floor and Sierra decided to lay down & fall asleep. Sierra completely enclosed Sparky in so he couldnt get out. Even then Sparky was safe and Sierra looked content to just sleep and keep guard. I am saddened that he is gone and we will all miss him.

Fathers Day

Fathers Day is today! We were slow moving on this quiet morning. Everyone went to Wallace Lake and cooked out on the grill. Warm breezy day and the sun was shining bright! The lake is peaceful...
Justin fished, Jon kicked the soccer ball around, David sat and talked to us and we reminisced about watching the movie Forest Gump. Good conversation, & good food.We even boiled corn-on-the-cob right on the grill & it was tasty~ The day seemed to last forever. Quietness in a busy schedule was well deserved!

It is like it is

Whenever i feel like writing i just write. I like the sound of the keys typing, and don't want to stop. Right now i am just trying to type for 10 minutes straight to see where my thoughts take me, so here I am and I'm just thinking and thinking and maybe I should do something crazy out of the blue . I really feel like it and havent done it for a long time> ive been having panic attacks recently and i feel like i am going out of my mind. When i went to sleep last night i laid there and couldnt breathe. Mike tried to calm me by rubbing my chest and it did calm me but then i started breathing shallow and next thing i knew was mike was checking my pulse to see if i was OK. I ended up laughing out loud because it was so sweet for him to be concerned. I know I am loved and he doesnt like to see me upset which is what i
have been lately. I am letting go of a friend who doesnt want to be friends anymore. Thats OK.
Today I did something really stupid. I took my sons Epipen and tried to empty it but it shot into my thumb and now my thumb is numb. I held it up to the other thumb and there is no color, only white, what a trip that is, so now I am tryint to type with a numb thumb. I am wondering if i need to be concerned, maybe i should put it in warm water to try to get the circulation back. or take a bath like i have for the past two nights to try to get over a cold.
You would think with all this typing there would be some circulation back in my thumb...

Lord God, You know the desire of my heart~ to be restored to health. You are indeed the Great Physician, and I ask you for the gift of restored health. Help me to remember that Your Word teaches that You cause all things to work together for good to thos that Love you. So whether You choose to restore me to health or allow my sickness to continue, help me to trust the goodness of Your will and to serve You whole heartedly whatever the outcome, In Jesus name I pray.

Mothers Day

Mothers day was very special. i had cereal for breakfast, my choice, got a royal treatment for a while and got to relax. I watched a movie, Must like Dogs. Very good.. Ive seen it at least 4 times and still love it. A good romance movie.

My husband got me a Bible. I have been wanting one for quite some time. I also got gifts from my boys. They were very kind.
In the afternoon i got to talk to a dear old friend who still lives in florida. it was good to hear that she is doing so much better since her divorce. I prayed that she would be strong enough to get through it and she was..
