Sunrise


Morning has broken,
a slow firey sunrise...
Quietness.
A beautiful tangerine in the sky
warming up the morning sky
lighting the way to start my day.
Garden vegetables growing in the warm ground
waiting to be picked
and eaten
by my kids.
Traffic passing by in a hurry
going to who knows where.
People smiling, people rushing.
Birds singing and cats slowly waking up
with the tangerine in the sky.
