Back from vacation...

Siesta Key, Florida. What a wonderful place.I saw the most beautiful sunset while looking down the Intracoastal. One way, it was blue-ish purple, the other way, it was pinkish-yellow. Absolutely breathtaking. The beach sand is so very fine, it never gets hot. So...
no burned feet. What a blessing.

Now that vacation is over, we are back to everyday life.I still try to make at least one new recipie every week. Some are better than others. This week I made king crab claws and tuna steaks for dinner. My family loved it. One of our favorite is Cowboy Casserole. Its so easy to make, just ground chuck, macaroni, stewed tomato, chopped onion and seasonings. Then let it bake in the crock pot all day and serve with fresh bread and butter. What a hearty treat.

For the fourth of July we had our proverbial cookout at Margie and Tobey's house. Long Island Ice tea and dinner for our neighborhood friends. It was really nice. The fireworks were extra loud this year and we had a double finale. What fun!
