What now?

I feel like I am under a bulldozer slowly getting flattened out. When will it stop. My son seems not to care at all about school and doing the work that he needs to do to get good grades. I have given the opportunity to him to prove that he can do this on his own, his own way and own time. Granted i am still edging him on to do the work and do his best. I am hoping and praying that he will come around and get it together.
Luke 17:3 "Be on your guard!" If your brother sins, rebuke him: and if he repents, forgive him.
And if he sins against you "seven times a day and returns to you seven times saying I repent, forgive him. And the apostles said to the Lord "Increase your faith!" And the Lord said If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and be planted in the sea and it would obey you.
I have faith in him and I will not falter.

My friend Gail has finally called me back. I wanted to say that i never meant to hurt her and it was like magic that she accepted and we are now friends again. you never know what will upset a friend and how they will take it.Im sure if i had to do it over again i would probably do the same. Unbeknownst to me what the future holds for us.

WOW

I was suprised to see a message from an fellow ebayer that had previously seen my listing for a cute Royal Rose Creamer. Now, a few months later she is interested in buying it... It's great that she can research an expired listing, and contact me to see if it is still for sale. I am excited that this is happening!!

I am going to my first ebay class tonight and am excited about this also. I am praying that it will help me to feel more comfortable with what i am selling and how i am going about it. I have looked at several sites that show how to display jewelry to sell and am getting this together also.

God will guide me through the steps that i need to take to be successful. I can do the work i just need a litte push!!

what do i do?

I am in the middle of looking for some sort of way to earn some income. i am trying to sell things on ebay and have sold a few things in the past.
Now i am looking for a source to sell other things and i am getting more and more confused the more i research on the web. there is wholesale- drop-ship places that "claim" to do just that. the more i research , i am finding that there are loads of people being ripped off by doing this. where are the reputable companies willing to sell products without a middleman?? any input would be greatly appreciated. has anyone gone through this? what are your experiences? i would love to hear what you have done.

I have been a crafter for a while now and have made jewelry that i am going to put on to a site and sell. I am feeling that this is my calling. err go..I love working with my hands and i want to sell the jewelry i make. seems logical and easy enough...
i am on my way to photograph my jewelry and post it.

I'm Hoping

I'm hoping that this post will post today. I've been having problems with it taking and have missed several days because of this. Today will be good, i feel it!

I've been feeling very ho-hum lately. Must be all the snow outside that is forcing me to cocoon in the house. Today is 44 degrees and i will make it a priority to get out and walk around the
neighborhood. Fresh air is wonderful when you are feeling a little depressed. Exercise and fresh air for me today will refresh & energize my body and bring me back to life. I will inhale all the cool air and listen to the birds chirping while walking slowly and taking it all in.

Ive got books & DVD's due at the library. I will watch my DVD-The Leading Man with Jon Bon Jovi this week. That will cheer me.

My friend Amy stopped by over the weekend and she is always so cheerful. She says it has to do with the drugs shes on for OCD. Maybe, but i know when i talk to her she is truly interested in what is going on in my life and she will always be there to listen to me ramble. She likes to ramble too though and I think im a pretty good friend and listener.

On Saturday night Bob & Kim came over and had dinner with us. It turned out pretty good actually. Im always a little nervous that they wouldnt like what i make. But Mike assures me that i am a good cook and it turned out just fine. Mike always knows the right things to say to me when im unsure of myself. I on the other hand, insert my foot into my mouth quite often and make him feel badly. This is not how I feel but it is how it turns out and i need to change that. Mike is always doing for everyone and he doesnt know what a good husband, & father he is to us. The kids sometimes dont show the best manners in appreciating what he does and it does get to be a problem sometimes. They are getting older and hopefully wiser. I try to talk to them at their level & to make them understand how things work and how people feel. It is a lifelong struggle to keep at it. I know that God is looking over me to keep me on the right track. Im always asking for direction and listening to hear his answers. I think I am getting better at listening and being more aware of what i am supposed to do. God has a plan for me and i am trying to do what is expected of me. I pray for guidance in my everyday tasks and look for more in life to fulfill me and sustain my family. Thanks be to God!

Our cats

Tasha, Sierra & Autumn. These are our cats. They love us. They keep our feet warm at night. They purr gently into our ears and knead our chest just to be close & show us they care. They climb up to the top bunk and sleep wit Justin or curl up with David or Jonny. They are the three musketeers.

Sometimes they keep us up at night because there is no food in the bowl. Sometimes we get out the flashlight to see what they are doing in the dark, and if they are really get into something and keep us awake, we get out the squirt gun to show them we mean business.

I love them dearly...

Weather is a funny thing... a month ago it was well into the 60's and now it's in the single digits.
Today i took my boys to the Nobottom Road sledding hill. It was a wonderful 8 degrees and the sun was shining down on us. I shall call it a beautiful day. When we arrived a handful of kids were already there having fun. Linking arms and sliding down the hill, arm in arm on each of their sleds & saucers. Laughter all around. I was the only 47 year old on the hill im sure. I was exhilarated gliding down the hill at such a fast speed & not having total control of my blue sled. Going face first was the best!! I felt young & loved every minute of it! We will go again tomorrow since it is another Snow Day for the kids and NO SCHOOL! Brrr...

Everything you don't know can
be used against you.

Whatevery you can do, or
dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius,
power & magic in it.
Begin it now.

You must be the change you wish to be in the world.

The morning snow is pretty heavy. We have about 5 inches on the ground and a few more is expected today. Snow is beautiful and clean... I love driving in the snow with the flakes hitting the windshield and dissapearing into nowhere behind me.

I have lots of things to do today to feel more comfortable in my skin & without hesitation, I will get them done.

I tell you why I did all these things.
It is very simple.
I did all these things because they
needed to be done....

I Ching

Today I rolled the coins and read my I Ching.

This is what it turned out to be...

1. CH'IEN/ THE CREATIVE

If you are alert to the Creative
you will meet with good fortune now.

This hexagram signals a time when the fundamental creative power of the universe is available to you. An unrestricted outpouring of benevolent energy from the heavens makes possible profound progress for those who are conscientiously following proper principles.

Frantic activity is not in order. Your responsibility instead is to be open & receptive to the Higher Power, allowing it to guide your actions. By allowing inferior thoughts & habits to pass away, you make room for an expansion of your superior qualities, which leads inevitably to good fortune. In your conduct with others, embody tolerance, reticence, & gentleness. Strive to meet others halfway in every situation. To overextend yourself, or require that of another, is to create an undesirable imbalance.

Your attitude toward the Sage is most important. Alertness and receptiveness are paramount. To receive the powerful assistance of the Creative, remain humble, patient, accepting & responsive. Careful attention to truth brings vast rewards at this time.

GOD HAS A PLAN FOR MY LIFE!
Everyday is sacred~

The sun shines upon my face.
Sun makes
my body shine
in a warm glow.
I see beach bums on the horizon.

It's Tuesday morning, i'm standing in the rain
searching for family treasures.
Trying to find
the "perfect thing".
Spiritual recipies are hard to find.

Just passing by
a cottage in the woods.
People inside have cabin fever.
Their daily grind in their little nook
is something that comes from their hearts.
Minor accomplishments are brilliant!

oh this is a good 1!!

What a wild day this has been. Found out that our PTA pres has been in jail twice. Once for aggravated theft and once for missuse of credit cards, whatever that means. Margie and I talked and decided to go to our school Principal to make him aware of this situation, which he was somewhat aware of. Evidently she was in jail just last Nov 06 for a week. And supposidly she was in the hospital for a week just about that time too... what a coincidence....

it seems she is trying to do good. she has set up a week in feb for bring your parents to school week with several places volunteering to come in and do services like cooking, planting etc., something for an hour with the kids and parents. This has won a National award and over $1800 for our school. This was such a suprise... only God knows what will happen. i mean no harm to this woman. i just want to be able to follow the goings on of PTA and do what we have always done... which is not happening and it makes a lot of us very concerned.

the DARE Graduation of the 6th graders was today. i was called at the last minute to see if i could help out serve cake and pizza to the kids and parents. a few volunteers could not come to help out so i hurried out of the grocers to go home and put groceries away and run to the school to help. i know it was very much appreciated and i like helping out.

tonight is a disco inferno at the local pub that i may go to. several girlfriends from our neighborhood will be going to let loose and hang. it sounds like a good time. only thing is they start at 10pm and that is just about the time this 47 year old starts to snuggle in for the night!

I like mike

mike is my husband of 23 years. he is the love of my life and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me...

i am very proud to have him in my life.

he is definitely my best friend and i can tell him everything.
fun to drink wine with too~

good friends

today cassandra called me crying with the mommy blues. her mom-in-law cancelled coming to babysit saying that she didnt feel good and her car wouldnt start. double whammy.
needless to say cassandra couldnt take another day without having adult conversation with good friends. she has been housebound with her 8 month old boy constantly and her arms hurt from holding the little jib so much.

we can all relate to this feeling of being overwhelmed and having no way out. we've all been there & done that. so, having the wonderful handful of friends that were going out to lunch at a nice restaurant, we all went to cassandras to cheer up her world. take out was on the menu & a funny movie called Fatso~

as it turned out it was wonderful just getting together at the spur of the moment on a snowy thursday in january... to help out a downed out friend a little bit...

the little jib is a joy & being with friends is always a blessing!

A new outlook

Things that I have discovered in life....
I have discovered that our third son Jon has a whitty personality. He is very sincere and loves family life.

I have discovered that our second son Justin is very independent and loves natural things. He would prefer fishing over anything else in life and loves the outdoors.

I have discovered that our first son is a free-spirit and loves to do what he loves. He is passionate about life and lets it happen freely. He has shown me that he loves us very much and that he would go to extraordinary lenghts not to hurt us, but in doing so, ultimately hurts us. He is very social and has many friends.

I have discovered that my Husband Mike REALLY loves me and cares deeply for Me. I am
so in love with this man that he makes me shine at times. Always considerate and caring, & my best friend. I will stand by him forever.

Beef Jerkey

Over the Christmas holiday we make beef jerkey. Believe it or not it was very easy & very delightful. Mike cut the beef & I marinaded it in jerkey spices & teryaki sauce. Then I put it in the oven 200 degrees, on the oven rack rungs with a baking sheet underneath & whalla.... 5 hours later it was done. Our first attempt turned out very nicely and pretty spicy. Making Beef Jerkey will be a yearly Christmas tradition from now on.
Christmas was very eventful with family doings and neighborhood parties. Good friends and family are ingredients for a Blessed Christmas. Christmas eve day was spent with my sister and her family making wine. She showed me how to clarify the wine in the juge jugs stored in the basement. It took much longer that I thought it would take but it was just nice being able to spend time with all of them. We didnt make it to other friends due to staying too late at Paulettes but thats ok. When we got home Santa and I filled the stockings with candies and little presents for everyone. It was very nice not to have to stay up till after the kids went to sleep to do these Santa chores.
Christmas Morning was so delightful. We celebrated Christs Birth at breakfast~ I made sausage from Uncle Andys church group with biscuits and coffee. Yummm! Also we didnt have to wake up at the crack of dawn for the little ones to rip open presents. It was nice and layed back this year. It was quite a nice family time together. The day was dappled with doing whatever we wanted and taking naps. Later we went to Dans for the Christmas get together and gifts for the kids. It was pretty mellow as we planned on only staying a short while. And it actually happed that we were there only a short while. Amazing! Christmas night was cuddled up under the blanket watching TV.
The day after Christmas is Dad's 81st birthday at Mom & Dads house. We all get together again for yet another celebration. This lasted until 11 pm for me. Dad & Mom offered to take us all on a Caribbean Cruize next year for our vacation. Hopefully it will turn out alright and everyone gets along. Only God knows for sure!

It's been a long time commin'

Longing to write again... needless to say, here i am, at my desk, making a committment for 2007 to be better in every aspect of my life.
I will show my love & support for my husband by standing tall. I will get busy and start selling on ebay. My work will include research and working at least 3 hours everyday. I will make this work for us so we can all be a lot happier. I will do this for my family & I will be proud of myself for working.
